Sip-n-doodle Creative Team...........

Allison Thorpe, Doodler, co-owner
Allison Thorpe Allison is a native Texan and did part of her growing up in Dallas, Mississippi, and Louisiana. Lagniappe is the way she describes her passion and background in the arts. Painting, drawing, and photography are her favorite ways to express how she sees the world around her. Allison too believes painting is a great way to relieve stress in this crazy world. The favorite part of her passion (hard to call it a job) is when one of her students awakens and realizes they too can paint and express themselves. The sipper whose self esteem is boosted makes this her greatest venture yet.

Leslie Booth, Artist, co-owner
Leslie Booth, ArtistLeslie grew up in an artistic family - her mother painted her entire life, her three daughters are all artists, and her aunt and uncle were both art professors at two major Texas universities. Leslie worked for a national art chain as a floral and crafts manager and then enjoyed her own floral design shop before choosing to stay home with her children. Leslie has enjoyed teaching in Texas public schools since receiving her degree from UNT in 1998 and has happily made McKinney her home teaching art since 2004. She also has been commissioned for several larger painting installations including businesses and private homes. Leslie truly believes she has the best job in the world - teaching her students how to tap their right side, learn new techniques and create art!

Kathy Lett, Abstract Artist
Kathy Lett, Abstract ArtistKathy was introduced to art at an early age, whether it was painting on fabric, paper or canvas... this was her way of dealing with the mixed emotions she had growing up. After attending high school in Lexington Kentucky, she moved to Richmond Kentucky, to attend EKU and majored in Graphic Arts. After college, she moved to California to model, sing and act in several TV commercials. Her leisure time was filled with painting and ceramic arts. When she married and moved to Dallas, she taught classes for the non-profit organization "Arts For People" and continues to model and act. Kathy sees art as a therapy for the soul, combating the fear and doubt in all of us...it is a RELEASE TO PEACE in this fast paced world in which we live. Today, her young daughter is very creative and shares her love for art.
